Introduction

This document explains how the “Screw” app collects, uses, and protects your data. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

• Account information: name, mobile number, email (optional), and password (encrypted).
• Location: your current location to find the nearest technician, set the service address, and confirm your presence at the appointment (geofence). Used only during an order.
• Usage data: your orders, ratings, and booking history.
• Device identifier for notifications: a OneSignal identifier to send you order notifications.
• Technical information: device type and operating system for security and operational purposes.

How We Use Your Information

• Providing the service: matching the nearest repair technician to your device and completing the booking.
• Confirming your presence at the appointment via location.
• Sending notifications about your order status (accepted / arrived / completed).
• Improving the service and protecting accounts from misuse.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers necessary for operation:

• OneSignal — to send order notifications.
• MapTiler — for maps and location services.
• Taqnyat — to send SMS messages (verification codes and order alerts).
• Twilio — as an alternative verification channel (SMS/WhatsApp) when enabled.
• Email provider (SMTP) — to send verification messages and notifications by email.
• The technician assigned to your order — sees your name, service address, and order details solely to carry it out.

Some of these providers (such as OneSignal, Twilio, and MapTiler) may process data on servers outside the Kingdom; we engage them in a manner that ensures appropriate protection for the transferred data.

Data Protection

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure token storage on the device, and safeguards against tampering. Nevertheless, no method is 100% secure.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we erase your personal information, notification identifiers, and the location/address data associated with your orders, while keeping a minimum of transaction records for accounting and legal purposes.

You can permanently delete your account and all your data from within the app: “My Account” → “Delete Account Permanently.” Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Rejected job applications and their CVs are automatically destroyed after the retention period expires.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. For any request, contact us.

Children

The app is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy and will update the “Last updated” date below upon any material change.
